7th Middle of the Map Tattoo Convention

Welcome to Middle of the Map Tattoo Convention 2027 , a three-day celebration of tattooing and creative culture at the EMC Expo Center in Des Moines from April 9–11, 2027.

Meet tattoo artists from a wide range of styles, explore their portfolios and connect directly with the people behind the work.

Walk-ins are welcome, while visitors who have a particular artist in mind are encouraged to arrange an appointment in advance.

The weekend brings together live tattooing, tattoo competitions, special guests, vendors and entertainment in an all-ages setting.

Visitors can discover new artists, shop the show and experience the energy of the tattoo community under one roof.

The convention runs from 2:00 PM to midnight on Friday, 11:00 AM to midnight on Saturday and 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday .

Guests must be 18 or older to be tattooed in Iowa.
